Specwar 7.62 with 300 blk

Post by Michael Black 47 »

I know this is kind of a stupid question. But I was wondering if the three blackout subsonic is a low-pressure round. Would it be possibly safe to run it with water or gel base product to increase oppression of sound.

BLK subsonics are considered low pressure rounds (think hot 45acp). But it's not advisable to run a sealed rifle can wet. Ever.

I've run .308 subsonics (208gr AMAX) through a Specwar 7.62, it is ridiculously quiet already, I can't imagine it getting noticeable quieter. It's kind of cliche, but the bullet hitting the target backstop is louder than anything else.

This. It's stupid quiet with subsonic 300BLK. The hiss when disconnecting a pneumatic tool from an air hose makes more noise.

Indeed, the 7.62 Specwar is a LOT of can for a 300 BLK! VERY quiet ;-)

Agreed, my wife's 10.5" running coated subs w/ the 762 is so quiet only the springs of the action, the brass hitting the ground, and the bullet hitting the backer is all you hear. It's musical.
