Buying a Hybrid....

Post by JeffWard »

So here goes...

I bought an Omega (awesome), and now have ASR brakes on my 5.56 rifle, 5.56 SBR, and my 308 bolt gun. I direct thread my 300BLK SBR.
I bought a Tactical Solutions Axiom (22LR)... Love that... on my Ruger 22/45, and on my 4" CMMG 22LR SBR. It's titanium and steel, and serviceable.
I bought an Octane 45K... Love that too! It's on my 9mm night-stand gun, it's 300BLK sub capable, and serviceable.

I wanted another rifle can... Was ready to buy another Omega... Hybrid kept calling my name...

I MIGHT build a 458 SOCOM (and good friend reloads for it), so Hybrid...
I have all the ASR mounts, so Omega or Hybrid...
New can will be predominantly on my NEW AR-10 (ASR Brake), but also for 5.56, and "other"...

- The Hybrid is serviceable (Omega isn't)
- All of my existing Omega and Octane parts WORK on the Hybrid (No pistol use on Omega)
- Both are basically the same weight

A LOCAL SHOP HAS A HYBRID IN STOCK FOR $790.... NO FORM 3, NO PRINTS, NO PICTURES... FASTER!!!!

SOLD!

I'm buying a new Hybrid this week.

When did the Hybrid become serviceable?

And how are you doing this?

Fixed... No Form 3 required. Only a Form 4 snce it'll be a transfer.

And yes... It's NOT servicable... which makes it an issue and pushes me back closer to the Omega... with all the attachments included.

Unless I'm misunderstanding.. Form 4 transfers still require the fingerprints and photo. By not having to do the dealer to dealer transfer (Form 3) you are saving several months but all requirements are still the same.

Got bad info from the dealer for sure.

1) The Hybrid is not serviceable... so no advantage over the Omega 30.
2) Correct, prints and pictures are still required, just for Form 4.

I'm ordering a (second) Omega 30 tomorrow through the SPEQ program.
