Re: Silencerco Picture Thread
The SSparrow has been the best gun-related purchase I have ever made!
The entire family went on a road trip to Seward, and stopped by the range.
I've got 3 rifles and 3 pistols threaded, and we shoot them all in comfort without hearing protection.
My wife, son, daughter, and even grandma really had a blast at our last trip
The entire family enjoys going to the range or gravel pit to shoot now.
Thanks Silencerco!

those grips are an interesting story... I tried making them a couple times out of acrylic and made some awesome clear grips, but couldn't get the image to stick on with out leaving some weird marks from the glue. So, I ended up having them made by stingerpaintball and then sanding them down to fit with wet sand. It's pretty easy, all you have to do is send them your design and they'll make it for you. Just have to pay attention to what you're doing or you can really screw up the glued on image.Bendersquint wrote: Now those grips are just cool, where did you get them?

I'm guessing there's no texture to them?

Look pretty smooth to me, would be hard to make acrylic grips with texture and be able to see through them to a clear picture below.Greg Kulbick wrote:I'm guessing there's no texture to them?

Nope. I tried to put some grip on one of the ones I made, but it didn't work so well. The lack of texture really isn't that bad, but I take them off when I'm not just shooting paper or showing it off. Some grips with tack are much better for just about everything else.Greg Kulbick wrote:I'm guessing there's no texture to them?

Re: Silencerco Picture Thread
Yeah, I prefer a fairly aggressive texture on my grips. I'd love to be able to have something like that to put our logo on you could see really well. I've had John from VZ make up a couple sets for us, though.

And it could very well be an MG and not just an SBR. I don't recall if his is a SA or FA.
Re: Silencerco Picture Thread
Just picked up my 9Osprey last night. Cant wait to get her to the range this weekend.
Also, I should have the stamp back for my 22Sparrow in the next couple of weeks. I'll post pics after I pick it up.

Played with some burnt bronze ceracote. Pretty good match for the FDE Osprey
