Just talked to Mike on the phone, he's sending me a piston to use on the 45 tactical so I dont have any issues. Awesome customer service!!

Not so impressed with the fn customer service. My rear sight actually was loose enought to fall out of my slide. I inquired if the repair would cost me anything and he couldn't say. I doubt it will, but still would be nice to have that assurance.

I bought the fnp tactical last year, and didn't see this issue till I got my 45Osprey. Probably because I didn't shoot it until I received my Osprey, because frankly, Ricky Bobby said it best;

Hey! I just got my can back from SilencerCo today, and it looks great. So I should be able to use it with my fnp 45 without issues? Thanks guys for looking at it.

The new piston is designated .578x28 V2, which will be etched on the back of the piston.

Check SilencerCo YouTube for an explanation on what the piston changed.

I wish they would of had the upgraded FNP 45-Tac piston when I had sent my 45Osprey in for baffle strike repairs. Makes me nervous everytime I shoot mine wondering if I'll get another baffle strike.

You can just call Mike and he'll send you the proper piston. Easy and then you won't have any worries.

I talked to Steve and he's getting one out to me today. Nobody rivals SilencerCo's customer service and knowing that makes me glad that I own 4 of their suppressors.

same thing hapened to me on a Glock 21.
Silencerco took care of it in short order.

I have been in the firearms field for some time, and some companies get so big
they start to believe their S*&T doesn't stink. Not so with Silencerco.
Nothing is perfect, and products can sometimes fail. Silencerco's
customer service is Second to None!
So if there is a future silencerco owner out there on the fence because of this thread, don't be.

This thread is simply remarkable. Great to know Silencerco has such extraordinary service!

Have a Form 4 clearing shortly for an SWR Octane 9 HD and the combined company has already announced a new baffle stack and an upgrade plan for those of us who bought the original. Excellent!

Had not thought of a 45 can. May have to rethink that now. Won't be soon as it takes a while for the toy money pool to grow :D

Any similar issues with the 1911's, or SIG 220s?
