This is the upgrade that SWR is offering on their site for the Spectre to update it to Spectre II specs. They are charging $200. It looks cool, how does it sound???

I sent mine off last week too. It took exactly 1 week door to door. I only sent the bare suppressor as per the instructions. I received the suppressor in a new pouch and box with a assembly tool.

The baffles look very nice and lock up nicely. I like the mount and o-ring engagement. The endcap is a little sharp around the edges and has a gap between it and the tube (supposed to be this way according to the manual). Dis-assembly/assembly is very easy and the baffles slide out with little force.

I haven't had much time to really shoot it but I've shot about 50 rounds in the backyard. I tested on both my Browning Buckmark and CZ 452. Both hosts are very quiet and I would say to my untrained ear to sound very similar to the Spectre "classic". No first round pop was noticed. I know the Spectre II has metered slightly quieter than the classic but I don't know if it's enough for me to notice. My main purpose for the upgrade was the o-ring mount and easier cleaning.

Based on the video comparison published on youtube by Silencerco I would expect a less than 2dB difference between Spectre Classic and Spectre II on any given shot with most of the shots being no more than ~1dB different. Just judging from the video.

But if you shoot a lot it might be worth it to extend the life of the tube.

I have not shot it yet, due to a small problem called having a job!
but the weekend is coming up .
it's definitely lighter than it was, and comes apart easier!

we'll see....

ps. i shoot allot! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eff2uz924BM

In this one test it was big difference! When ever you beat the Element on a pistol, you have something really good .

Less weight and easy cleaning/take down is Huge improvement and important as sound.

My name didn't make it on the list on May 29th. I re-entered my info on the web form on 07-31. We'll see how much longer I have to wait...

I'm sorry for not posting any more details on this, my co-worker quit leaving me all by myself to take care of everything at work. so I'm pretty much working every weekend. I can say that for the little I've shot it, on pistols I've noticed no frp, the weight is definitely reduced and feels more balanced on my s&w m&p 22 pistol. And after shooting it 2 to300 rounds, the baffle stack just falls right out of the tube. I'm happy I did it

Whoo Hoo! Just got email confirmation and my Spectre is en route!

1 week turnaround with a Holiday weekend in between! Took a strap-wrench to get the end cap off, but it looks sweet. Gonna put some rounds through it when it cools off tonight

Way lighter, a breeze to take apart, and so far on 22lr , it sounds awesome! I have not tried it on 22 mag yet but I can't imagine any reason I wouldn't like it! It's my favorite can!
