NFA Trust & Sheriff Notification Question

Post by Jack_Bauer »

When filing a Form 1 or 4 under a Trust, once the Form is approved does the NFA Branch inform the Sheriff of the approved Form?

Unless you buy from Silencer Shop and live in Texas and are having it shipped to your house :P

And Silencer Shop does that part (seems to be a requirement in order for NFA to allow them to ship to my house).

Not complaining, just FYI.

Same answer as when you asked this on ARFCOM.

In all fairness there is ALOT of dumb produced by ARFCOM. I don't discount him for asking again here.

So if you pickup your stuff at SS they don't require you to fill out a 4473? I was under the impression that any 4473 gets sent to the sheriffs office.

If you pick up gun at SS, 4473 stays there. 4473 only goes to CLEO if you do a non-OTC transaction.

As bendersquint points, nobody is advised of the approved form.
