It's been a year in the planning stage, but the paperwork, parts and time all came together this afternoon to create something absurd and beautiful.
With the stock collapsed it's 18.5" overall:
With an Octane 45 that came in last month:
33 rounds of suppressed awesomeness:
It started with a Gen 3 Glock 19 frame that I picked up off Gunbroker, I added a Cominolli manual safety and mated it to an older MechTech 9mm upper. Tom Denall took the barrel down to 9" and added threads for me, just today I cut down the upper receiver itself and the handguard. I went out in the backyard for a function test (which it passed), haven't taken it to the range yet.

Re: My new SBR
I like it!
Is it as reliable as a OEM 19?
Have any pictures of the bolt and how the upper connect to the frame?

If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

I like the Mech Techs, I had one years ago in 460 Rowland with a Para Ordnance P14 on it. Cool set man, enjoy.

Kinda reminds me of the older 'linda' carbines.
Don't take that as an insult, it's not meant that way.
I bet it's a lot of fun to shoot!

I don't have any pictures, but this guy has a great video on how it goes together:strobro32 wrote:I like it!

It's reliable so far, I put a couple hundred rounds through it with the full length barrel and I just went out and put another 60 rounds through it today. 70 rounds total as an SBR so far with no malfunctions. Getting 1-1.5' groups at 25 yards.
