Engraving individual to trust
So over the years I have accumulated several NFA items on an individual stamp. Now that i'm growing older I transferred them to a NFA Trust ($200 per item OUCH!). What do I do about the engraving? New engraving as trust?

Re: Engraving individual to trust
Form 4 transfers require no new engraving.

When you build a new NFA firearm, you have to file a Form 1 Application to Make and Register, meaning that whoever files the Form 1 (the trust or you as an individual) are the maker. The law requires that the manufacturer OR maker engrave name and city/state.
You are now filing Form 4 Application to Transfer. The firearm has already been made and engraved. There is no need to do any additional engraving. It is no different than if you had bought one of the AAC 9" rifles when they were available. AAC made it as an NFA firearm, and transferred it via Form 4, so the purchaser never had to engrave anything.
