I got a NFA application refund check today.......

but I have no idea what it was for.
I have 5 form 4s and 2 form 1s in process now, all submitted prior to the July 13 deadline.
Any ideas on how to find out what this refund us for?
I called the West Virginia number to check but all of my forms are pending.
If I read correctly, a refund is usually sent out about 30 days after a denial, but I don't have a denial.
So, do I keep following up and try to find out or , if it is a screw up on their part, leave it alone?
Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

When we have had payment issues in the past we would email [email protected].. (she prefers Ann) and cc to [email protected].. It takes her awhile to respond sometimes.

Talked to Scott Robertson at ATF regarding this refund.
He says it was for a form 4 filed for me and that the "application was withdrawn" but had no other information.
So, now I'm pissed and am trying to contact the vendor I bought it from to get their side of the story.

Unfortunately, no updates.
I have tried contacting the "former" gunshots as they said the were maintaining an "online" presence, but so far nothing.
Per the ATF, my only option is to demand a refund. But to do that, I have to be able to contact them.
Short of legal action, I may not have any options left.

Ouch . . . that sucks. Hopefully you're able to get this resolved.

i was denied a purchase by the NICS on the 22nd. I always get delayed, but that was the first time i ever got denied. i filed an appeal and and sent a VAF for a UPIN. im waiting on my "go ahead" letter any day now.

I would call the ATF at this number 304-616-4500 and ask them if your transfer is still in process. If it is still in process you can probably cash the check because they do not start the process until the check is cashed and as cleared the bank.
