MP5 Low-Profile Claw Mount

Post by tsands974 »

I am looking for a high-quality, low profile claw mount with a picatinny rail for my MP5. Anyone have any suggestions? I am not interested in those cheap NC Star or UTG mounts, although that is more or less the profile I am looking for. Thanks

I may have a spare HK claw mount at home I'd be willing to sell. I won't be home until next weekend though. Send me a pm if interested.

tsands, if you get that MFI unit, let us know if it is worth it. I'm wanting one for a gsg5 but I'm not sure yet if I want to spend that kinda money. I really like the MFI piece though.

The mount is already on its way, and I am mounting an EOTech XPS-2 on it. I'll let you how it works out, I'll put it through some reliability trials and see how the POI is affected when I detach and re-mount it.

Thanks. I'm going to be putting an aimpoint on mine and I know that seems weird for a 300 dollar rifle but I have a CompM2 laying around so I figured this was a good use for it.

Hey man, nothing wrong with going to high-quality accessories for a .22lr. Accuracy and reliability from a semi-auto .22 are relative anyways, so you may as well make it as good as possible, right? :D

I couldn't wait any longer so I ordered mine. It required a lot of fitting on the claws. I still didn't get it perfect. I got it close enough and then synched it down. The screws may be cross threaded now but I don't ever plan on taking it off.

I had a very reputable gunsmith mount it onto mine, and it fit like a glove, rock solid. Paid $50 labor, plenty worth it to me to have it done right the first time. I plan on testing it out tomorrow :D
