Sig 552 Commando?

Post by Ckage83 »

Does anyone know if these are available in the states in a semi only model? I used to carry the Sig 551 here at work until we converted to M4s. Now I got a mind to pick me up one. I know it would take the SBR paper work, but are they available?

No, there are none. There are semi auto 551s in the used market, but they are over $10,000.

Buy a 552 post sample for $3000, and then ask the seller to send you the upper and destroy the lower (or let them keep it). SBR a 556 lower and put the upper on it. $4500 and you have your gun, somewhat.

For the 556, the upper is the serialized part. Is this not true for the 552?

In your sig line isnt it suppost to be 675 grains of diplomacy, thats what it syas on my 7.62 shirt, although 7.62 will do just fine in most cases.

Could he then keep the 552 lower? That would be totally sweet!

The upper receiver is the machinegun. The lower is just an imported firearm part to the ATF.

I've seen SIG 55X parts kits that just have the upper cut by a plasma torch. The kit still cost a fortune.
