I saw that. Crazy epensive and would not run at all. Full of tool marks too. $1900 for a jacked up gun that won't shoot... They only gave it a D. Those guys at GT really don't know alot about guns. Most of them seem like they are just one step above Fuds. I do usually like the editors column on the first page.

In fairness RJ did post this on Uzitalk:
Our SBS's are spec'd for , and say so on the accompanying literature , high brass , 1 1/4 oz loads . They are not for skeet . Gun Test's refused to load the gun with that . so , they got the result they wanted .

That may address the failures but not the fit and finish issues.

The pic in GT showing the issue (more than one pic) is Winchester Super X LOW BRASS. They should state that in the next issue.

Saiga S-12s, and I have two, generally don't run well on Winchester Shells. Mine won't run Winchester, be it Low, or High Brass. They love the Federal and Remington, though.

My Tromix S17 has never had a failure with any ammo I've run through it and I've used almost everything on the market except for Aguilla minishells.

Wills daughter is straight up trailer trash. That aside, you can make a S12 run just fine if you know what you are doing. We have made select fire S12's in our shop for other manufacturers and they run on walmart 12 ga ammo. A few parts changes, a lot of polishing and a little adjusting. It was actually easier to make it run with 6 shot than it was to do the select fire conversion. The problem is there are way too many hacks out there calling theselves gunsmiths.

Red Jacket equates to garbage. Plain & simple. Give me the blonde daughter Paige from American Guns anyday.
