Apparently the shooter wanted suicide by police, or 3 hots and a cot.
Elsewhere I read that the 42 year old man was homeless, unemployed and living in his car; and that he was extremely unhappy with life. He intentionally aimed up in the air and not at any people, loosing off about 50 rounds in the mall parking lot.
