There is no "Anonymous."
You might was well just say "some people," it's the same damned thing.

In that "Anonymous" is made up of "some people" you are correct. In terms of ability to cause serious issues to any number of people, governments, financial institutions, etc. they most certainly have influence. And their constantly fluctuating numbers make it difficult to pinpoint any one of them.MV10 wrote:There is no "Anonymous."

It's not a couple of fat, pimply, greasy virgins sitting in a dark basement. The very nature of the "organization," and I call it that very loosely, is that the membership runs the entire gamut of ethnic, social, political, and financial groups. Most are on the fringe, simply giving up their computers for DDoS attacks and the like, but others are very much involved.
Re: Anonymous on Civilian Disarmament
Exactly my point. No organization. No coordination. Anyone can claim to be acting on its behalf. Most people assume there is a lot more to it than is actually the case. In fact, it's often described with phrases like "hacker group," as if it's something or someone specific. The media loves it because it sounds ominous.
The reality is that it's a completely meaningless label.

Electronic 4th Gen warfare.
The moments I was censored was the moment that I won. That's twice, now. Thanks jwbaker, et al, for my victories.
Re: Anonymous on Civilian Disarmament
More like 4th grade warfare.

Re: Anonymous on Civilian Disarmament
That doesn't make it sophisticated any more than, say, vandalizing cars at a dealership.
