You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

To all the European hoplophobic people: how great was the gun prohibition in your countries?
There are some videos here on youtube showing the failure of gun prohibition

Last year in France there is a killing in a school in Toulouse... the killer illegally own firearms and even a totally prohibited UzI full auto submachine gun... in France where Kalashnikov assault rifle (mostly Yougoslavion M70AB2 variant of these weapons) are prohibited 15.000 are estimated in the hands of gangs, recently illegally imported in France... And see the 2011 riots in London and Croydon and 2005 riots in France, people a left defenseless face to looters, rioters arsonist , a full block was burnt to ground.
Long guns included the semi auto great capacity magazine rifles ( not properly called "assault weapon" because the military use full auto firearms which are already prohibited in the USA since 1934 by the National Firearms Act) were used in 323 murders in 2011according to the FBI, even behin hammer which are used in 496 murders.

Look a t the crime stats in Europe:

The US violent crime is 466 for 100.000 inhabitants.
By the way the NRA (USA) is discribed as the lobby of gun manufacturers ("industrie of death") ...it is untrue.. lot of weapons manufacturers are not supporting the NRA because doing so they will hinder their chance to sell weapons for government and this market is way bigger than the US domestic civilian market.
Look at this logic: the current US administration wants to make peace in the USA disarming the Americans, the same administration claims to make peace in the Middle East selling sophisticated F16 fighter-bomber planes to Egypt while this country is now hand held by the Muslim Brotherhood which hate Isreal and want to distroy it. Go figure!
The NRA is an association of citizens.. its backbone are the citizens who realize the importance of the Liberty legacy of the Founding Fathers of the USA. The US Constitution (and the Bill of Rights including the 2nd Amendment) lasted more than 200 years, while the French First Republic Constitution lasted 10 years (from 1789 to 1799 when Napoleon Bonaparte crowned himself Emperor ), so France come from Republic to Empire, then to Monarchy Retoration then to Republic, then to the 2nd Empire under Napoleon the III, Republic again.. France is at her 5th Republic.. This country is not an exemple of political stability which show how inspired was the US constitution. this is the sacred legacy of the US Founding Fathers."
I just hope that my comments won't be censored. Such a comment are often censored in French media and newspaper (propaganda) sites...

Re: Should the US ban assault weapons? (Poll)
Do you think they are going to publish the results now?
When I first heard of this poll we were at 40% NO. When I voted no it was up to 65% and now we are at 74 or 75% NO. This is clearly not what they want to see.
