I don't know of any propellent ever being used to make a bomb. But I do know of fertilizer and diesel fuel make a pretty impressive explosion on more than one occasion.

Lots of times propellet has been used for pipe bombs

but for a big bomb ,, it would be a bad choice

you would have to ban even milk and urine to prevent people for building a bomb

I always ask the antigunners how far they are willing to go to prevent people to be able to arm them self

and i just love it when the say , as much as needed

THEN i say ,, well the Nazis did a good try during the ocupation of most Europe

the did blow up random buses to scare people

they did make fake attackts , they did lie
they did torture people

BUT IT WASNT ENOUGH

then i look at them ,,,and say ,YOU are sick in you head

Check out this Yahoo article.

It speculates on the top four suspect groups responsible for this.
#1 Islamic extremists.
#2 Right-wing extremists.
#3 Government.
#4 Crazy Lone Wolf.

I gotta say... I might be a touched peeved about this list.

Seriously biased. Where are the Left-wing extremists? #0 (on top) would be my guess.

I noticed that right off too. The effort to demonize consertive organizations has been very successful. I cannot think of any right leaning group that has ever enguaged in this sort of activity. Plenty of left wing groups (Bill Ayers anyone?), but not any right wing groups.

I know the lefties like to point to Tim and OK bombing as right wing but it really was not. He was kicked out of every right wing group he joined because he was a nut. He'd by #4 Crazy Lone Wolf.

Tim wasnt lonely  he had some middle eastern friends  `some just dont want you to think of him so

Nut , yes , a easy tool for who ? portrait as a lone right wing by who = those who needed one like that, and NOT one who was working with ??

if he was working with?? who didnt do there job ??

who dont want what kind of people named in the same context as terrorism ?

Awful lot of smoke for smokeless powder.
Take what you hear from the msm with a grain of salt.

From watching the videos I could believe black powder. Ah, I miss the smell of rotting eggs in the morning.
I use to be big into BP guns, pistols, rifles and shotguns, made my own BP also.

Awe, your missing out on some fun. :D As long as you have respect for it and what it can do you'll be all right.
Me and my friends use to shoot trap with 12 ga. BP muzzle loaders, one guy would have to stand off side so he could tell you if you hit the bird, there would be so much smoke the shooter couldn't tell. lol At the end of the day the smell would be in your clothes. But I enjoyed the smell of it, like Hoppe's #9 or Winchester brand bore cleaner, I wasn't sure but I think it was the banana oil that gave those bore cleaners their distinctive odor. :)
Life is short, have fun while you can and make some good memories. :D

My money's on "Crazy Lone Wolf" with prior experience with pressure cooker bombs from the Middle East. In other words: a disgruntled vet. Much like the Timothy McVeigh scenario. A relatively small IED like this could easily have been made with a double base powder like Bullseye and a homemade detonater. Of course, now that I've said this, everyone in the gun community is going to become paranoid and start stockpiling fast burning pistol powders in anticipation of a ban.
