Naw, that's just the executive branch being a bitch. Like shutting down White House tours due to the sequester, but flying his bitch-ass to Africa for the low, low price of $200 million.

Much in the same way that the executive branch is being a bitch about "negotiations" with Republicans, but Obama almost came all over the "sharp crease of his slacks" (if you don't get it, Google it) when the sworn enemy of the US, which is even now involved with killing our soldiers in Iraq, calls him. Obama will negotiate with the enemies of the US, but not its representatives.

I got a similar message on the NOAA site yesterday while trying to access geo data for my day job. But it had a link to a site talking about the "shutdown" Seems they have funds for that one but not the sites people actually want to look at.
