I have to agree. Did you see the fat slob in the fast food place a few weeks ago? Give it time one of these idiots will get shot.

agreed. but more from a " why let the shitbags know YOU are armed" perspective.
Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys; look on them as your own beloved sons, and they will stand by you even unto death.

Marty Hayes of Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network also spoke out against this stupidity in the June issue of the ACLDN Journal here: http://armedcitizensnetwork.org/our-jou ... 14?start=3

Open carry in Texas is pretty much a shoe in, for those of us that would want to. However, the idiots at Open Carry Texas seem to be working really hard to keep it from happening.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Open carry of holstered pistols is perfectly fine with me, I've done it myself on occasion.
Carrying an AR-15 into Burger King is gonna get you the very watchful eye from me, because it smacks of showboating or something worse.
Many people are slowly getting used to the 'scary' concept of civilians carrying handguns, but rifles in public pushes them too far past their comfort zone and into lashing out at us. We need to be all about education in a polite and thoughtful manner, not confrontational and defiant.
Just because you CAN do something, doesn't always mean you should.

A little discretion and common sense goes a long way. These idiots that go around showing off their rifles and trying to get into a recorded confrontation with police are asking for it. While it may be legal its not always the best idea. Part of being a responsible citizen and gun owner is to be respectful and mindful of the people around you. To walk into a crowded mall or restaurant with an openly displayed long gun is gonna get peoples attention, and not always in a good way.
