16 retired high ranking military officers have sold themselves to a "statist control group" and are lobbying against the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and the SHUSH/SHARE Acts. (Gabby Giffords group run by her husband the puppetmaster, Mark Kelley).
In a letter they plan to send to Congressional leaders, the retired commanders, including Army Gen. Wesley Clark, Navy Admiral Eric T. Olson, Marine Brig. Gen. Stephen A. Cheney, and Air Force Gen. Michael V. Hayden and Lt. Gen. Norman R. Seip argue that Congress is “no longer speaking or voting for the majority of Americans, including gun owners” when it comes to the issue of firearms...
...Retired Army Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal said he agrees.
“In the aftermath of two of the country’s worst mass shootings, it’s an affront to both our safety as a nation and the common sense of its citizens that Congress would consider actually weakening our gun laws,” McChrystal said. “Untrained and potentially dangerous people have no business carrying guns in our communities, but the concealed carry bill in the House would allow exactly that.”
It's up to State legislatures to set training requirements to get a concealed carry permit in their State; and the National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act does NOT weaken those State gun laws in any way.
The retired military brass have forgotten what the 2nd Amendment says: ...the right to keep and BEAR arms shall not be infringed. And yet these would-be-political-hacks want to infringe the 2A in a big way.
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

Maybe there is some sort of sunset clause on the oath of service because they are clearly not down with the Constitution. Honestly, I run into lots of military and former military who flat out say that only people with their training know "what it's all about" and have a distinct "us vs them" view of civy pukes. It's no surprise that a bunch of officers see the sheep as unfit to be armed.

A lot of people take that oath with fingers crossed, just like cops.
