The West Virginia senate passed a "Parking Lot Protection" Bill and the slighly modified Bill goes back to the WV House for a concurrence vote. The Bill... good law
will allow lawful owners of firearms to transport or store their firearms in locked, privately-owned motor vehicles without fear of civil liability, criminal liability or employer retribution.

On Thursday, the WV Guv signed into law the Parking Lot Protection act to protect people who want to lock up their gun in the vehicle while at work (or visitors and contractors). Good law for WV.
In Idaho on Wed march 21, the Guv let SB-1313 become law without his signature (Stand Your Ground, and expanded self-defense).
Senate Bill 1313, sponsored by Senator Todd Lakey (R-12), will consolidate and codify existing law to clearly protect the inherent right of a person to defend themselves. This legislation clarifies that in the exercise of self-defense, a law-abiding citizen may stand their ground and protect themselves or their family anywhere they have a legal right to be. SB 1313 also protects the right of a person to defend themselves against intruders who enter the defender’s home or business unlawfully or by force, without the defender having to demonstrate that he reasonably feared that the intruder was about to cause death or great bodily harm.
In Wyoming on March 15, the Guv let HB-168 become law without his signature (Stand Your Ground)
Under House Bill 168, a law-abiding citizen who has not initiated the conflict would have no duty to retreat from any place where the person is lawfully present before using force to defend themselves. The proposed legislation would also clarify that a person who faces a civil lawsuit because of the allegedly improper use of defensive force may apply to a court for a determination of the use of force issue prior to trial. Should a court find that a person’s use of force is legally justified, a court would be authorized to award reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, and other compensation incurred by the person in defense of any related civil lawsuit. Other changes include definitions, including what constitutes a reasonable use of defensive force.
