This story concerns the details from last Thursday evening in Oklahoma City where 2 concealed carry permit holders shot a mass murderer in progress at a restaurant. The shooter had already shot a mother and daughter in the restaurant and stepped outside where he was confronted by armed citizens.
Shannon Watts, the national spokeswoman for Moms Demand Action, says that the good guy with a gun narrative for the Oklahoma City shootings is not the normal case.
Civilian concealed carry permit holders come with all kinds of background experience. And just because a person is in the National Guard doesn't mean he was well-trained with guns--he could have been in logistics or office work. CCW permit holders who actually carry are far more likely to train and practice shooting than the average gun owner. Now it’s Saturday, and she’s still trying to downplay the “good guy with a gun” angle. We agree with her that the men were not average citizens … they bravely went above and beyond.

Hey @NRA - The two men who got guns from their cars to take out the Oklahoma shooter were: 1) A former police officer and current security guard, 2) A member of the National Guard for two decades and who served in Afghanistan. Not. Average. Civilians.
