Situation: An off-duty FBI agent was at a dance club (Mile High Spirits) in Denver early Saturday morning. I'm sure that alcohol was probably involved.
The FBI agent, in order to impress his fellow club-goers, performed a backflip (impressive, something that I could never do). During the successful backflip, the agent's gun carried concealed in the small of his back, fell out of the holster to the dance floor. It did not discharge falling to the floor. The agent scrambled to retrieve his gun and in picking it up, the gun fired, hitting another patron on the dance floor in the leg. The wounded shooting victim is in the hospital with a good prognosis.
The Denver police department and Denver District Attorney are investigating.

You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

I don't believe it's "A" because the flash didn't happen when it hit the ground it happened when he grabbed the trigger.
Leaning toward "B" but maybe the guy that got shot was in the process of dispensing a nerve agent so maybe "C".

Dummy has his finger on the trigger. It was an ND. I am sure the official report will speak about his heroism and quick eye, and the victim will be arrested for all manner of nefarious deeds. I have dealt with the FBI several times. They are invariably cut from the same cloth as the STASI or Beria's gang.doubloon wrote:

The FBI agent whose firearm discharged while dancing in a Denver-area nightclub has been arrested.
Chase Bishop, 29, turned himself in to a Denver County court on Tuesday and was booked for second-degree assault charges, reported CBS Denver.
Bishop was attending one of Mile High Distillery’s “DJ-Fueled Weekend Dance Parties” on June 2 where he seen dancing and doing backflips. In the middle of a flip, a firearm dropped from Bishop’s waistband holster and discharged as he lunged for it.
...Bishop is an FBI agent based out of Washington, D.C., according to 9News in Denver. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army for almost five years, during which time he achieved the rank of captain. By the time he was discharged in 2017, he had been awarded 10 commendations, including the Army Commendation Medal, for his actions in Afghanistan.
The Denver District Attorney’s Office tweeted on Tuesday that it has not formally charged the agent, who is being held for the investigation.
