Armed Guards or not? Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh mayor's response to the terrible mass shooting at a Synagogue, was illogical and stupid (IMHO).
Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto (D) said the answer to the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh that killed 11 people is not having more armed guards as President Donald Trump suggested Saturday...

...He continued, “I belong to an organization a bipartisan organization called mayors against illegal guns. I don’t think that the answer to this problem is solved by having our synagogues, mosques, and church filled with armed guards or our schools filled with armed guards or schools filled with armed guards. I think we’re dealing with an irrational person who acted irrationally and trying to create laws around that is not the way that we should govern. We should try to stop irrational behavior from happening at the forefront and not try to create laws around irrational behavior to continue.”
1. Armed responders stopped the mass shooting (quick police response).

2. No mass shootings have ever been stopped by unarmed people pleaing for their lives. Mayors Against Guns doesn't have a solution except to try and disarm all Americans.

3. Armed guards or a modest Synagogue or Church security plan with some members with CCW permits and armed can stop mass shooters. That, Mayor Peduto, is the logical and coherent solution!
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

I have never been in a synagogue that did not have armed personell. Maybe this was an orthodox synagogue. It is a pity they did not have at least one guard there.

I guess “never again” really means “meh, sometimes, randomly”.

"trying to create laws around that is not the way that we should govern"

No s--t. You don't need a law for licensed individuals to legally protect a private establishment. Plenty of existing laws were broken when Coocoo went crazy.
