SKINT Venezuelans have been selling their hair so they can escape Nicolas Maduro's regime and the crippling hyperinflation which has rocketed to 80,000 per cent.

Desperate women were seen chopping off their own locks to sell to street traders for around £10 just so they can feed their families.

Hundreds more have been spotted trying to flog rings, watches, bracelets and necklaces in a bid to get their hands on much-needed cash.

Families were also spotted dragging their life's possession towards the border with Colombia in an attempt to flee their homeland.

Dozens of middlemen, known as “draggers”, stand on a bridge linking San Antonio to Colombia’s La Parada, calling out: “We buy hair!”

The locks are then sold as extensions in the relatively wealthy western Colombian city of Cali - home to the notorious drugs cartel.

“We have absolutely nothing here but we have no choice,” one young mum told reporters.

“We don’t even have enough to pay for a meal now we are here. We have been travelling for a long time, we are tired, and we cannot even eat or get a drink, she said.

“I just want to cry. I just cannot understand why this has been allowed to happen.”

Maduro has now warned the United States was in real danger of dragging his country into another Vietnam War.

"People from #USA, I ask for your support in order to reject the interference of Donald Trump's administration which intends to turn my Homeland into a 'Vietnam war' in Latin America. Don't allow it!" Maduro posted on his Twitter account.

He later said if "the US intends to invade us, they will have a Vietnam worse than they can imagine."

Maduro has previously accused the US of attempting to stage a coup against his government.

Earlier we told how the leader of Venezuela's opposition party claims he has held secret talks with the military to win crucial backing in his bid to oust President Maduro.

The news comes after Juan Guaidó declared himself the country's interim president and was immediately recognised by the US and several neighbouring Latin American countries.

However, the superpowers of Russia and China support Maduro which is why military support is seen as key to him holding on to power.

"We have had clandestine meetings with members of the armed forces and the security forces," Mr Guaidó wrote in an article for the New York Times.

"The military's withdrawal of support from Mr Maduro is crucial to enabling a change in government, and the majority of those in service agree that the country's recent travails are untenable."

He added he has offered an amnesty to members of the armed forces "found not guilty of crimes against humanity".

However Guaidó did not say exactly who in the military he had met with.

Because of what Poiki posted above, and also many countries recognizing Guaido as the legitimate president of Venezuela, El Presidente Maduro last week flew to Moscow to plea with the godfather for help.

In listening to the Glenn Beck radio show this morning, he reported the following news reports from Venezuela. A large Russian airliner landed in Caracas and 20 tons of gold bars were loaded on it and it left to take the gold bars to Moscow. Further, one or more Russian airliners landed and Chechnian paramilitary thugs/troops who work for the FSB doing dirty work, were unloaded.

After all if you are a South American dictator who has destroyed your country and there are rumors of the Venezuelan military turning against you, who can you trust? It is speculated that the 20 tons of gold bars looted from Venezuela serves 2 purposes. One is cash if you and your top cronies have to bolt for your lives, and second a cut for the godfather helping out in a moment of trouble.
