We had an arms room guy do this when I was in the Army. When he got busted, he had several M60s, a 40mm grenade launcher, some M16A1s, a bunch of pyro, blasting caps, C-4, etc. A LOT of etc.
He had stealing stuff down to an art. I can't remember how long he got sent to Leavenworth for. He got caught when a SSG named Garst snitched on him to avoid an Article 15 for getting caught with a smoke grenade.
