Virginia Beach shooting--shooter used a suppressor

A disgruntled Public Works employee killed 12 and wounded 4 more at the city Goverment complex on Friday, and was then killed by police after he shot at them. I posted because it was a mass shooting with a suppressor; and we need to be aware that gun-control advocates may add silencers to their long wish list of infringements on the 2nd amendment.
The shooter on Friday was a current employee of the public utilities department, Cervera said. He came armed with a .45-caliber handgun with a sound suppressor on it and shot one victim in a vehicle outside before entering the building. The rest were shot inside.

Everyone is scrambling to discover why the Virginia Beach shooter did what he did. The above investigative report sheds light on the matter and discovered that the shooter (Craddock) was not really a disgruntled employee and his job was not threatened in any way. He was a 40 year old Civil Engineer with 15 years working for the City of Virginia Beach. Further, he was a good employee and had no disciplinary problems. What is strange is that hours before the shooting, Craddock submitted a resignation letter with 2 weeks notice.
Investigators were working to reconstruct how he spent his day before he arrived at the government complex around 4 p.m., armed with handguns he has purchased legally and opened fire.

At a press conference on Sunday morning,Virginia Beach city manager Dave Hansen said Craddock’s work performance was “satisfactory.”

“He was not terminated and he was not in the process of being terminated,” Hansen said, adding that he did not face any disciplinary measures before giving his notice.

“He was in good standing within his department,” Hansen said. “No issue of discipline ongoing.”
He was probably being passed over for promotion, or he had a drug problem.
