Police in Utah town accused of overreacting to Haka dance

Post by Hush »

I don't call this a dance in the traditional sense, I see it as a cultural morale booster and enjoy it as such. The deputies were never exposed to Haka from an outside culture and should have checked with a higher up before acting.
The deputies should take a course at the local college.
The Maori should file complaints with the state dept.

Completely unrelated, but do you know the history of the Maori, and how they slaughtered the Morimori? Pretty interesting. Read about it in Guns, Germs, and Steel, by Jared Diamond. VERY enlightening book.
