You'd think a phone call or visit in person would show respect.. A letter shown to the press before the family knew about it is more self-serving and disrespectful than when he refused to apologize in the first place..

Basically, he's saying "Here, see, I apologized..."

Saying he is 'sorry for their loss' is not an apology at all.

He should say "I am sorry that a misguided government program has caused a role in your son's loss.'

Holder is a POS on all levels. Hopefully someone with balls in D.C. would be willing to actually prosecute his worthless ass after Nobama is out of power so he doesn't get a pardon. Like there is a chance in hell of that...........................He should be on his freakin knees in front of that family begging them for forgiveness since he is the one responsible.

Ah, the ambiguity between an empathetic "I'm sorry" and an acceptance of responsibility "I'm sorry". The politician's bread and butter in such situations.

Had I been one of the parents, I would have demanded that Holder take responsibility for his mistakes. He still would have offered the psuedo-empathetic "I'm sorry", but it would serve for a more clear contrast between the demand and the response.

I think that Obama and Holder both fit the destructive narcissistic leadership paradigm. I guess most people at that level do though.
