I'd like to believe that folks in that unit were mildly retarded, and just unaware that the logo they'd adopted was also the national symbol for the nazi schutzstaffel. and all due respect, what bridge photo would excuse even that poor decision making, let alone a conscious and informed decision to pose in front of a fucking nazi flag. i hope their csm knocked some fucking sense into them.

why the hell would friends to islamic murderers make someone sympathize with the nazi party or fly their flag? does loosing buddies in fallujah makes you think it's ok to associate yourself with the waffen SS - murderous thugs who butchered women and children?

at best i'd like to think that these kids really didn't think about what they were doing. I don't know how anyone can see the SS lightning bolt symbol and not now it was a national symbol for the nazi storm troopers but maybe it's a generational thing. at a minimum they need to be counseled. if they actually understood what that symbol stands for then I'd article 15 their ass in a hearbeat.

Hitler bastardized the swastika from a symbol in a monastery when he was a kid. The Lightning bolts SS symbol also has history other then with the nazis. As a Jew I hate the the fact that when a person or persons bastardize a word or symbol people only see that and non of what was before. Here in Maine we have wiped the word SQUAW from the state. The word has been removed form towns roads lakes and schools because some ignorant person misused the word then other instead of correcting then let the misuse continue until more people thought the bastardized version was correct thus banned. SQUAW means woman or female that's it nothing more.

The liberal media and most media for that matter is very happy to twist the meaning of words to fit the label they want it to. IE assult rifle, clip machine gun and silencer so on and so on. The meaning of words is important. If you allow those around you to misuse them then sooner or later they will cease to be what they are and become what someone turned them into.
