Since they are so sensitive about the Koran maybe we should place them on the outside of our vehicles to discourage them from blowing us up. Although in their warped mind it would be okay as long as it was an attempt to kill an infidel.

As I understand it, the copies of the Koran were confiscated from Taliban prisoners who were writing messages to each other in the copies of the Koran and then passing them around as a means of communication. According to Islamic law, it is forbidden to deface the Koran by marking in it and any copies of the Koran that have been defaced, must be disposed of by...burning. So, damned if we do. Damned if we don't.

In their twisted logic it is okay because it is accepted as you are doing it to fight an infidel. The Koran also forbids the use of drugs and the Taliban (ironically) were vehemently against it however it's okay now since the money generated from the poppy harvest goes toward the jihad then it's somehow okay. Same as it's okay for them to blow up women and children as long as its in an effort to kill us.
