no s--t. they can better pass out condoms to the kids and instruct them to ask the pervert teachers to don them before a$$ raping them. that happens much more than dying from a 'school shooting'.

My plan back in the day was to chuck my 8 pound laptop at them, get up, then chuck my desk at them. hopefully others would join in. This was pre-9/11 BTW.

If there was shooting in the hall, then the plan would change to chucking the laptop out the window and hauling ass. Nobody hell bent on a school shooting is going to dick around with having someone on the roof. Not to mention that, unless they have a belt fed, they can't get all of us before we make it to safety.

Caveat: I haven't read the article yet.

I do wonder if this might be addressing some of the points brought up by the likes of Dave Grossman, in his bulletproof mind series, Where he makes the point that no child has died in a school fire in 50 years, yet we still have fire drills. Some schools have tornado, or earthquake drills as well. Is it prudent to have drills for evacuating a school? I think so. I also tend to think that the lock-down approach is nothing short of suicide. unless that lock down includes a teacher ready to shoot anyone who comes through the classroom door without an all-clear announcement first.
