I have a YHM Titanium 5.56mm Phantom QD but now need it in 7.62

Post by Str8shooter »

So my question is there a way to trade or upgrade to the 7.62 QD Titanium Phantom? Hindsight being what it is I should have just gotten the 7.62 right off the bat but now is it more cost effective to just buy the 7.62 also or do you have some other option?

BTW the Osprey came in and the process you have going is so easy and pain free to purchase from The Woodlands while you are in Austin. Never knew until I found your company that it could ship within the state. Makes me feel bad for people living outside of the Great State.

Anyone have suggestions? Silencer shop can you chime in here and give some advice please. obviously hoping I don't have to go through a whole new tax stamp ordeal or is it possible to exchange with AAC at a discounted rate possibly?

There's no way to get another can without another tax stamp. Just to trade your can for a different one it would take two transfers with two transfer fees.

Thank you big brother for $400 right off the top before I can get new said can. guess that is why I never see a real market for selling previously owned cans. Guess I will just plan on buying the 7.62 Ti phantom. Note to self or others on the fence about "maybe" also wanting to use in a 308 etc. Just get it and thank me later

Not your fault. I should have got the 308 initially.

Just to be clear. Are y'all saying it would cost a class 3 dealer $200 to basically buy a can from an individual to put into his stock? I thought dealers could make acquisitions for $5 or so. But I don't know what I'm talking about really.

A Form 4 is required to transfer to or from an unlicensed person and that Form 4 costs $200. Doubtful that the dealer is the one paying, though.
