i know the zip 22 can be mounted on an ar15 but it becomes an SBR well what if you attach it to an ar15 pistol would that still need a tax stamp? would the ar pistol need a stamp cause the thing would be considered a vertical grip?

Re: Zip22 on ar pistol
That is a horrible idea. This pistol BELONGS dual mounted on a SBR P90 and nowhere else. End of discussion.

Yes it would classify the AR pistol as an AOW as the pistol becomes a vertical grip as you suspected.Sdustin wrote:i know the zip 22 can be mounted on an ar15 but it becomes an SBR well what if you attach it to an ar15 pistol would that still need a tax stamp? would the ar pistol need a stamp cause the thing would be considered a vertical grip?

Re: Zip22 on ar pistol
Thanks bender I was worried about that. I think it's actually quite useless really just something to say hey look at this. And all thereal videos I've seen of people firing it. The ones with out a company rep standing there the thing jams like hell. I don't think I'd buy one but I do have a 10-22 like most everyone else and it would be ok if you could get it for 100 bucks or so. But the way you charge it looks like you would get burned by a can if it was silenced.

Re: Zip22 on ar pistol
How would you mount it on an AR-15?
Re: Zip22 on ar pistol
Three of them on a quad-rail using a rail-to-rail adapter. They look like those scope connectors... except they allow you to mount the top picatinny rail on the Zip to the picatinny rail on your M4.RWBlue wrote:How would you mount it on an AR-15?
Like this, only the not-so-tall 1 inch long version and no huge knobs.
Using 45º adapters... seven?

I was thinking kind of the opposite... mounting an AR to your Zip22.
I guess the results are the same, just a difference in philosophy.
--- ETA ---
... of course, using that adapter, it would be even more serendipitous to mount your Zip22 to your other Zip22. Then you could be the ambidextrous ghetto thug and fire both of your guns sideways.
Pretty sweet, right?

Re: Zip22 on ar pistol
How about mounting four Zips to a quad-rail with the rail NOT attached to an AR.... AOW?
Run a long light-bulb chain through the triggers and you have a Manufactured Machinegun firing four rounds with one pull.

I could see a ruling as an AOW, if anything it would fall under the AOW interpretation of a not commonly recognized firearm.ick wrote:How about mounting four Zips to a quad-rail with the rail NOT attached to an AR.... AOW?

Just replace that pull chain with a shoestring to fire full auto. I can see this

while in general I am a fan of different, innovative and unique I think this is absurd and craptacular.
Islam is an intolerant, oppressive, social, political, governmental institution that preaches hatred and murder it was created by a man who married a six year old child.
