How many rounds does it take for a P22 Walther up break!

Post by Wilder »

I can't help but remember the old commercial about how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. The answer to this question is three. The question how many rounds does it take to get to the failure point of a Walther p22. is approximately 7500. I could not believe it when the slide hit me in my chest today but it was almost 7500 rounds later. Here are the pictures to illustrate what a broken walther P 22 looks like. She been a good one. It will be replaced by the same model. They're been a lot of trash talk about these pistols but I love mine.

They will replace it free. Did it break at the front of slide?

Well, if they're replacing it for free, then that's the obvious choice. If that's not the case, then perhaps the Ruger SR22 pistol is right for you. It looks to be the same basic size and ergonomics, but with a more robust execution. It seems to have much more longevity promise.

I had a p22 that didn't fail, it just stopped feeding.

Mine did that, but it was due to too many Remington bullets and the crap that comes off of them.

They did beef up the slides on the P22s a few years ago and I don't think there was any issues after that.
