RUGER MARK IV 22/45 opinions.

Post by John A. »

Just wondering how good they are?

How accurate?

Is the bottom rail removable on the "tactical" model?

Does most regular velocity ammo stay subsonic out of it? I'm assuming yes, but wanted to ask.

I'm also curious what the OD of the barrel is so I can get some ideas for a F1.

I'm considering getting one, but would like some opinions from those of you that own one first.

Thanks.
I don't care what your chart says

I know this old but no one responded so I will. I had a mark iv 22/45 lite. It was reasonably accurate, I'm not sure about the rail since I didn't have that model, yeah most standard velocity was subsonic for me(blazer and cci) and I think the barrel is 1". That said I bought a Volquartsen Scorpion and it blows the Ruger away but it should for 3.5 to 4 times the cost. Good guns in general I still have a couple of mark II rugers but if I was going to buy another one I'd get another Volquartsen. As far as the push button take down goes its nice but the I don't have any issues with the old style rugers so I don't really care about that.
