Gemtech Alpine, can I shoot .17 throught it w/o damage?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

On the Gemtech website, it says that 17 and 22 are ok for use in the Alpine. But in my manual, it says 22LR, and makes no mention of 17HMR.

It has aluminum baffles, just thought I would ask before ruining the can.

Print the web page.

Fire .17HMR in your Alpine.

If anything bad happens to the can, send it back to GemTech with a copy of the web page and have them repair it.
