How to Hush Hush?

I like to use the "View active topics" features on boards like this where I am interested in almost all the sub-forums.

However, it's useless here because for some reason Hush has to post every news story as its own separate thread. I come here for "Silencertalk" not news talk.

Generally, I'd just put Hush on the ignore list, but he's an admin so I can't do that.

Any ideas how to hush Hush?

All those news spams are the reason that ST isn't on my daily rotation.

Hopefully Bendersquint's awesome idea of a Hush-News account will be implemented.

It has nothing to do with "not clicking" on his links. There are plenty of posts about silencers / guns that I don't click on. It has everything to do with not being able to see "legitimate" posts because of the flood of news stories.

I don't believe I'm bitching about anybody. I'm just asking for a way to not see Hush's plethora news stories.

Polls have been posted, discussions carried out. Someone that is a "regular" would know it (even if they don't post a lot). And then there is that cool little feature called a search. It was nothing but beating a dead horse and should have been posted in the bitching forum.

This site claims to have evolved beyond the Ban Hammer with very few exceptions. Most bans are well earned but some just feckin humorous. Devil Doc's ban and the mysterious terms of his return are a curious and amusing sequence of events.

And beyond the practice of wanton moderation. I think I recall a few of my posts getting edited once or twice for long strings of profane expletives but nothing egregious in the way of censorship.

For the most part this site more or less polices itself with a heavy hand toward freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of stupidity, freedom of just about anything but not freedom from much of anything.

Every once in a while somebody comes up with the great idea to muffle Hush. Sometimes there's a polite brush off and sometimes it's a beat down with the same zeal that would greet anyone wanting to take away this gun because it's black or that gun because the guy who owns it carries more rounds in it than he needs.
