Interesting Seizure

I seized an interesting item tonight during a traffic stop. In addition to quite a large amount of narcotics and other weapons, I found this little gem behind the drivers seat which i think you guys would enjoy. It looks like he cut the end off of a cheese wiz can and filled it with steel wool. He then drilled a hole through the bottom of the can and inserted a copper pipe which had holes drilled every half inch. I suppose its a creative way to up your weapons charges to a federal level...

And it looks like it's attached to an air rifle?

Sucks to be him.

That is a Nylon 66 Remington... I love those rifles and it sucks that this one is now evidence in a crime.... Good bye spare parts....

I was waiting for you to say it launches those bolts quieter than a crossbow. :)

Yup, so it is a Nylon. I guess my morning coffee hadn't kicked in yet when I saw it.

Still sucks to be him. (Not condoning his actions in any way mind you)

Oh, gosh. Will each brass coupling at True Value require a $200.00 tax stamp?
Plumbers beware. :)

The LEO's stop again proves that the intellectual level of such dopey dopers is at the the level
of the ambient Alaskan temperature in Centigrade. The only thing
that chump did not have are pictures such as these:

Then "Kitty Porn" charges could be added. :)

Thanks to the Blue Line heros . May all be safe.

No one has called it a cheesy can yet? Disappointing...

Too bad about the Nylon 66. That was my 2nd rifle.

Yes, they do. Federal charges, federal court, federal prison. The feds have a better conviction rate, and the sentences usually have less parole.

That said, it would be hilarious if it turned out that -- drugs and gun charges aside -- he had a friggin' STAMP for that get-up. "Oh, your honor, actually that was the one thing that WAS legal.... here is my Form 4 right here..."

One of these days, I'm going to make a Suppressor cover that looks like a RedBull can.

If you had a larger bore, wipe can... I wonder if you could make a quiet arrow launching gun? The wipe would probably F--k the arrow up.

What's funny to me is THAT is the best he could come up with. I mean, there is an entire internet out there of silencer designs. And no offense to the OP, but most cops would probably look right over an oil filter with an 1/2x28 adapter on it if they saw it away from a gun who's barrel was also threaded.

Seems like someone thought they were...

Don't know about putting a can on it, but using 22LR blanks can't be too loud when pushing a hollow aluminum arrow.

Took a second look. You know, I think I see the light now. When I thread a barrel I use an indicator rod and a couple of Starrett dial indicators. I'm a dumbass. All I had to do was screw a pipe fitting on over some electrical tape and ask AAC to send a can with a 3/4 pipe thread fitting instead of a Blackout mount. I could kick myself. Oh well. Another Form 4, another 9 months...

Keep an eye on the story and see. I know of a murder near me that was committed with an illegal SBS, no federal charges were filed, dude got out in like five years.

You nailed it Trooper, the homemade can involved the ATF. Meaning he will be going to "big boy" jail.
