Quietest thread on .308 & .22lr suppressors?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Quietest thread on .308 & .22lr suppressors?

Post by pneumagger »

Looking for people's opinions on the current quietest simple thread-on suppressors in 22LR and 30cal. I already have an AAC 762SDN6 (pending) for my ARs and SWR Warlock for my .22LR pistols ... bother are great small/midsize/quiet silencers. I'm just looking for ultra quiet silencer for target rifle hosts, so I don't really care about size weight. I figure with NFA approval wait times and rumors of discontinuing trust approvals I should start shopping now.

Last time I looked at rimfire cans, I think the Kodiak XL was the bee's knees but I wasted something a little more handy. I guess the ultra is the next evolution. For a simple 7.62 can, I was thinking that the AAC cyclone was a great price for the stated suppressino levels.

I'd go with the Cyclone for your thread-on 7.62 can.

what's the street-price on a Cyclone? I know the MSRP is $750 any places selling them cheaper? Usually you can find cheaper than $750.

Silencershop has them in stock for $658, and their customer service is top notch. Do it!

the quietest at the meter .22LR can I've metered was the x-caliber genesis. It certainly has its pros/cons but on a p22 it was the quietest by 2db under the next quietest being the element.

.308 I'm not sure . . . only metered 2 standard thread-on styles.
