No application processing, no statuses, NFA / Gov shutdown

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Kind of off topic but not. I had my in office ATF interview Monday and the IOI stated I should receive my FFL in four to six weeks. The Gub Mint shut down the next day so I really don't know if I'll be delayed or not. Really want to go to SHOT in January.

Licensing is shutdown as well, you are in a holding pattern till the gov turns back on.

I wonder if they will extend the comment period for the change in NFA rules related to trusts and corporations.

I pretty much figured licensing would be shut down. He still has to send his report to the regional office for final approval then it goes to the print shop, ie, licensing. Hopefully at least that process will go forward to the point of issuance. If not, oh well.

Why would they extend the comment period...its not being affected since the website is paid for and its just sitting there collecting comments.

If the sequester goes through the end of the period i think our country is in more peril than we think.

I was one day away from resolving an F2/F3 snafu covering four items that has been going on for about ten months!

Hopefully I'm still at the top of the pile when the lights go back on.

This "Shut-down" truly stinks but I will tolerate it for a few weeks if I must providing it stops commie-care.
Trying to think further ahead than just a few days.

I would like my forms back, but I have plenty of detail work to do while waiting.
That's the thing with making replicas, lots of hand work to occupy your time.
At these prices I want my gas 100 octane, leaded, and my windshield washed!

Received 2 form 1's on 10/3/13.
My 9 month wait is over
I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people......... I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.

Waiting longer for my toys is a small price to pay to make the poibt that spending needs to be curbed.
