Specwar 5.56???

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Specwar 5.56???

Post by RJT »

Does anybody have one, and if so, how would you rate it in terms of "quiet"? I know 5.56 is difficult to suppress due to sonic crack, I'm just wondering how well it does on muzzle blast. I'm trying to decide if I should spend more on a Saker, or not.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

The Specwar meters better than the saker, but the saker has more mounting options. I went with the specwar, but it is still in NFA jail.

If you are frugal or quiet freak to the point that 3 dB matters....go specwar. Check out liberty as well. Torch is even quieter.

If you want an indestructable can that can handle 7" SBR in full auto, can easily blaze through 30,000 rounds when the zombies come and civilization collapses (no more warranty) and has infinite mounting options ..... Go saker. Oh the one handed quick mount is awesome for putting the can inside a floating rail.

All have lifetime warranty.

I have Liberty Constitution (take apart) and the Saker in NFA prison. For 5.56 I went for durability. 300 BLK is my quiet round.

If you already have several mounts then the Saker is the way to go.

Well, I finally bit the bullet, and paid for a Specwar today. It looks to be a fine addition to the AR I'm building.

Put down the money on my specwar 556 today too. The entire swr line including the Spectre, specwar 556 and 762 and octane 45 is now in jail. Just gotta wait!

My stamp came back yesterday. :D Too bad I won't have time to go pick it up until next week.
