I haven't been looking recently for myself, so I don't really know how hard it still is to find.
Just got an email from them. Free shipping and about .35c/round when you buy a case.

Good information to have. Thanks.
Especially for Hi-Power.
But comparing { weight æ Velocity æ foot_pounds} of .45 next to it
the classic .45 is still optimum.
9mm/ 147 grain/ 985 fps / ME = 317 ft. lb.
.45 / 230 grain/ 835 fps / ME = 352 ft. lb.

Skill, mental conditioning and shot placement will trump fancy math and the need to try to look smart, every time, not just some of the time.

Fireman1291 did an ammo comparison and the Speer Lawman 147gr were pretty loud.

But hey, subsonic is subsonic. If you absolutely need them, it's an ok price with free shipping on a case.

Not subsonic, but a pretty nice price for brass 9mm:
http://highcountryammunition.com/24hr-s ... s-1-30-14/
100 rounds 115gr FMJ for $23.50 SALE ENDS ON 30 JAN.
I have plenty of Wolf steel 9mm left, but lately, my Colt subgun has been choking on it. I want to give this stuff a try.

The Speer Lawman I linked to is $5 less a box and subsonic.
Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
Your ammo is a good price but what I linked to is $23 for 100 rounds, vs $18 for 50 for the Speer. I bought a case. I'd buy the Speer, but I still have a ton of Georgia Arms "Canned Heat", purchased back when it was something like $130/1000.qballis wrote: The Speer Lawman I linked to is $5 less a box and subsonic.
It's all good, SS 9mm is usually pretty expensive.

Oops. You sure are correct. I didn't see it was 100rds.Baffled wrote:Your ammo is a good price but what I linked to is $23 for 100 rounds, vs $18 for 50 for the Speer. I bought a case. :lol
If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

two Snail Drums, loading tools, Artillery Lugers, and Red 9 Broomhandles.
.45ACPs did seem strange being hammered into the magazines.
Who would have known?
Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
OK Weird, the picture shows .45 Auto, but if you scroll down all the way, the actual ADD TO CART shows 124 grain subsonic 9mm, for $18/box.firstsgtsteiner wrote:http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting ... type%3DGNU
Why make subsonic 124 grain? Cheaper? If my goal as an ammo maker is a good SS 9mm, I'm going to reach immediately for 147 grain, or better yet, 158 grain like the Uzi ammo out of Israel. The latter (if you reload) can be made really punchy, lots of energy, yet remain subsonic.
Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
Freedom ammo is the cheapest and quietest next to Fiocchis. Fiocchis is rated 10 while freedom rates 8. Freedom is only $270/1000 shipped!
Edit: freedom is reloaded ammo. You can get their new factory load for $30ish more but why? Their reloads shoot just as good!

Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
I used to be scared of reloads, but WTF, why not, when a lot of heavily used and recommended commercial loadings like Winchester white box have been shown to have significant defects, including squibs?
I wouldn't run either in a FA HK, but I'll run them through my Uzi, and definitely through handguns and the like.

Re: Head up for anyone looking for factory loaded subsonic 9
I know midwayusa just got some in as well. Been a PITA to find fmj 147 grain sub 9mm and components as well... many people buy it simply for its lesser recoil and screw us suppressor owners over because they are limp wrist shooters.... my wife is a perfect example of that... and many still think 147 jhp is poor performing today which is not the case anymore. JHP can still b found anywhere you look.
Suppressors cost less than hearing aids..
