AAC 300-TM or TB 30P1

I'm looking for a lightweight 30cal can for my 308 bolt gun and would like to hear your thoughts on these options. They are both about the same price with titanium construction. What say ye gentlemen?

But I'd say AAC as the 300-TM is supposed to be the same guts of the XM2010's can, one of two options for the Mk-13, and has been a tested and proven design.

The thunderbeast is a good can, but I don't think it's on the same level.

If you can actually nab a 300-TM, do it.

I went with the 300TM myself, of course I wanted it when it was announced and waited quite a while before they were actually in production. This one is my first Efile, so hopefully it comes through pretty quick. They are incredible cans and really worth the money.

It'll be interesting to see how the Harvester performs in comparison.

I'd pick the new Harvester over both. Same caliber support, smaller profile (diameter and length), lighter weight, interchangeable direct thread mounts, fancy endcap brake, and HALF the price.

I'm going to speculate that the SiCo is noticeably louder. Just a guess considering the the size, weight, brake, and the intended market. Not saying the Harvester isn't a good can, just that I'm not convinced it's in the same class as the 300-TM.

Yea would love to see those old Silencerco comparison videos again. But going from website specs, 300-TM has 28-33dB reduction and Harvester has 21-34dB.

The 33 and 34 numbers are probably Blackout shots, while the 21 number on Harvester is maybe 223/556 since it can have a 1/2x28 direct thread.

I agree with you guys about the Harvester. I'm sure it is a good can, but the 300TM is only a few ounces heavier and I believe it will provide better sound suppression on it's primary host, my 308 bolt gun. So I decided to buy once, cry once and went with the 300TM. I placed the order with silencershop today as they had some in stock. I'll be eforming it once it comes in so I hope to have it before deer season.

Considering the Harvester is stainless and presumably aluminum (or some crazy magnesium-aluminum hybrid???) be lighter than a can that is entirely titanium is . . . interesting.

I think for a precision bolt-gun I would want as few parts as possible. The 300-TM is one core and one tube. The harvester is of undetermined amount of internal parts (at least 3, tube/core/threaded insert).
