Henry no longer at SWR/Silencerco?

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Henry no longer at SWR/Silencerco?

Post by tc64 »

Rumor has it that Henry Graham is no longer at SWR/Silencerco.

He was reportedly fired last Friday and escorted from the building.

What's going on out there?

I heard this as well. I haven't seen any press release or anything like that.

There was a post, briefly, by someone else saying the same thing but it went away.

I hope that is not true. Henry has always been responsive and a straight shooter.

I talked with Henry last week, and I think it was on Friday.

And it's just Silencerco now, there's been no SWR all year.

Henry always had integrity and was one of the very few you could trust . I bet he became disgusted with the path Silencerco was taking. ( like Gary and Pappa's )

To some of you sluts it won't matter ( like killing the SWR name) but it really does!

I hope Henry starts up somewhere and kicks some ass! I'll be first in line. Smoke em Henry!

Doing a quick qoogle found this on Barf.
The grim reaper that everyone speaks of is Jason Schauble. His poor decision making and emotional filled leadership were the reasons big green had to cut a serious check to Kevin Brittingham. He (Jason) was fired from his previous employer and picked up by SilencerCo. His biggest contributions besides looking like a member of Nickleback is bumping heads with people. And when someone creative comes into play and they don't see eye to eye he usually helps them find the door.
Sorry to hear this. I've only heard good things about Henry and the Octane 9 was the first suppressor I ever bought from another manufacturer. Fantastic product.

I see Henry has deleted all information about SCo from his signature. He is a brilliant guy so he'll have no trouble getting the wheels spinning again.

Liberty was looking for some help a while back, maybe they have room somewhere for a bright guy with a good disposition.

The internets says that Jason Schauble is currently the president and CEO of Tacking Point.

Seems this is confirmation of sorts:

Liberty is probably a good fit and well situated for him. HTA... meh. I was a big SWR fan and could understand the merger on some levels, but it might have been a case of how many sausages you can fit at the top.

Internet is not up to date.

He left there last november, announced at Silencerco before SHOT.

I've worked with him in a number of capacities at various companies and I've always really liked him. That said, i have no idea of the internal goings on at SilCo.

That is strange . . . I got the same impression from him. Nice guy but drama seems to follow him.

Must be more than meets the eye with Jason.

I don't know Henry at all but know of his designs . . . I'm sure he will be fine.

Jason has always seemed good as far as I could tell, to the degree that I would know.

Turbulent times in such a tiny industry. How exciting!

LOL at Bob Nardelli, VC and Investment groups, fired CEOs who just get fired/rehired cycle forever. It's almost like it's growing up to be a real market.

Too bad for Henry, although everyone at companies like this have to know when groups with money come in, new CEOs come in from "big time" companies, that your job is no longer safe, no matter how important you think you are. I still chuckle about AAC people being super stoked to announce Remington was coming in, almost all of those people are now gone, and aren't moving to Alabama, they will be soon. This is just how big companies work.

Hopefully he didn't sign a non-compete. Maybe he and some of the others set free of corporate constraints can start up a new company.
