I am working with a new dealer on an AOW. He sent me a Certification of Compliance with 18 U.S.C. 922(g)(5)(B) form. I looks like a certification of residency. I am applying with a trust like everything else I have done before. Is this a new requirement? I have never done one of these before on form 1 or 4.
Please advise. He is out of town for a couple of weeks or I would ask him and I don't want to wait.
Thanks!

Re: Form Submittal Question
Easy to do.
1. Name under which the application was filed: Trust name
2. Name of person certifying to citizenship: your name
3. name of country of citizenship: United States of America
sign and date at the bottom

You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

Re: Form Submittal Question
I sent it with both of mine done with a trust. I don't think it's required but my dealer recommended it.

Re: Form Submittal Question
Form 5330.20 is not being required for legal entities like trusts. ATF specifically stated that in a recent eForms bulletin. November 2013 issue i think.

Some of the ATF examiners will never get that memo. You never know who your examiner will be so IMO it's just best to include the form and be done with it.rimshaker wrote:Form 5330.20 is not being required for legal entities like trusts.
