Glock 17L as a host?

Does anyone run a G17L with a threaded barrel suppressed? I'm thinking about looking for a clean gen2 G17L, primarily because I really like gen2's in general, and I'm assuming a gen1 G17L will have a pencil type barrel like the G17 and thus not be compatible with a LW G17L threaded barrel. It seems from just googling that gen2 G17L's are the rarest of the G17L's; is that true?

Regardless, how are they as hosts?
