seeking knowledge:

I would like to know if it is possible to change out the barrel on a Tikka T3 to have a intigrated susspressor?

reason is length...

this year while deer hunting I had a Sika come out at less than 5 yards, and with my current 20" barrel and an 11 + inch can was hard pressed to not spook the criitter before I could harvest.

By the way he was a nice 3 x 3...
AND tastes great!

Short answer is yes, it's possible.

If SBR's are legal in your state you might consider going that route so you can use your existing suppressor.

my current set-up is a 20 1/3 " threaded barrel and a 11 1/2 inch suspressor...
also have lengthened the stock to accomadate my longer arms...

leupold 4 x 14 DCS set 1" high at 100 meter mark,

2950 fps thru chrony, utililizing a 180 gr soft point,
two loads- one for big critters, and one for "lighter" skinned animals and targetry

groups at 100 (5 rnds) are 1/2 to 5/8 inch unless I try using my bad eye...

hadn't really thought to long until tried to get on a deer at 20 yards while sitting on a cushy chair out of the rain...

that buck walked away... nervously.......

I had never checked out Greystone suppressors. Anyone here have any experience with them or know of their quality, prices look low just wondering how they perform.

Joe at Curtus Tactical just finished my Tikka integrel...

only have photos so far...

waiting on snail mail to dealer for transfer

color of barrel and all looks great....

barrel looks a little long... in photo---

(that's what she said)

hoping just my imagination...

barrel length that is..

will post more next week after i get to see and TOUCH her.

I believe if you and I had social conversation... we'd both enjoy a touch of scotch..

and long discussions on hunts taken, and hunts yet to be.

Hey, I didn't shoot her though. Was too busy to get over to Joe's place.

I only got one pic of the assembled barrel/action just prior to welding. I'll post it if you'd like.

On here the barrel doesn't look too long.

arrived at dealer last night after 1800 hrs...

AFTER making two trips to Anchorage..

Hopefully will get hold of Chris at Impact today, AND actually touch her.

Joe sure made a pretty rifle.

may have to send scope mounts to get same color done on them..
