General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.
Not that I'm complaining... but someone please clarify how this magically became legal to sell separately all of a sudden?!
They are now making/selling a Octane mount flash hider.....that uses the silencer endcap as part of it.
By doing so the endcap now has dual purposes and COULD be classified by the ATF as an accessory.
Whether or not that classification has been obtained is still in the air.
Quoted from an alleged email from Silencerco about the legality..
""There is no technical reason to stop you from using the 9mm endcap other than you will want to ensure you are switching them when changing calibers. Silencershop has decided to sell the endcaps so I would recommend that you direct your legal question to them for clarification"
That tells me no classification has been made and they are passing it off to SilencerShop.
