Tell me about the can I just bought

I just got this can for a price I couldn't refuse.

Please tell me about it, the seller said it was designed for mounting on a Knights Armament .308, and it's obviously a QD mount of some type.

Made by a company called "Armored fire" in Blaine MN.

Any knowledge would be handy.

$166 isn't a bad price for any can, I can tell you this it was made AFTER 2012 and I have never heard of that company(nor finding a current FFL for them either.

Since you linked the pictures directly from gunbroker why not see what it says on gunbroker?

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =467774986

This is a used suppressor for the older style Knights Armament SR25 rifle in 7.62x51 caliber. This suppressor uses the lock up built into the barrel on the older style SR25 rilfe. This can has been used but still looks to be in excellent condition. The maker of the suppressor is Armored Fire out of Blain MN. Suppressor is on a form 3 ready to transfer. Winner pays $15 shipping and can pay by check, money order or credit card. We take Visa, Mastercard or Discover. We are a full time FFL dealer with a retail store open 5 days a week. We stand behind all the products we sell. Please email with questions. **I do not have a SR25 rifle to test how quite the suppressor is but does look to be well built.**

Very interesting, can you explain why it's post 2012?

I guess I should have just linked the auction, but it wasn't a lot of terribly helpful info there.

Prior to 2012 it was illegal for ANYONE outside .mil/leo and gam wardens to possess silencers....including 07/02 manufacturers.

It was made in MN, therefore it was post 2012.

I only see one reference to that name in my FFL register from 2012....not there in 2013. One year wonder as best as I can tell.

Blaine man sentenced on drug charge

Jeffrey P. Kempf, 41, who had pleaded guilty in March, was sentenced this week in Anoka County District Court. Police found cocaine and marijuana at his gun shop. Both drugs also were found in his home, where minor children lived with him and his wife.

Blaine police, assisted by agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) found about 18 pounds of marijuana, about 3 ounces of cocaine and 87 handguns Saturday evening in Kempf's home. The home has a sophisticated surveillance system and several outbuildings, where some drugs were found.
