Threaded barrel for M&P9c

General silencer discussion. If you want to talk about a specific silenced rifle or pistol, it is best to do that in the rifle or pistol section for that brand.

All NFA laws apply.

Threaded barrel for M&P9c

Does anyone make a threaded barrels for the M&P 9 compact?
Can you thread a 9mm fullsize and drop it in to the compact?

Adco can add an extension and threaded it for you. It isn't cheap - cost $155. I don't know if a full sized M&P barrel will fit in a compact, but if it does it will be cheaper for them to cut and thread that barrel to your desired length (not including the price of the new barrel of course).

I've got both; if I remember I'll try the full-size barrel in the compact tonight and see if it fits/works.

Storm Lake makes 'em
Ya, I've seen. $219 and backordered with no estimation or like $245 from SL directly.
A $90 M&P barrel and a $50 thread job would be preferable though.

I hope this helps. I am very satisfied with both of my barrels from storm lake. One for my xd 45 tactical and the other for the m&p compact 9

I believe that a FS barrel WILL fit into a C, but the OD of the barrel ramps up at the end, so that the barrel fits tighter inside the slide. That ramp-up in thickness occurs after the slide opening on the C, so you accuracy may suffer. Also, the weight of a can hanging off the end of the barrel may cause lock-up issues if there's too much play? Just a guess.
